The QS World University Rankings is perhaps the most well-known University ranking system, publishing annual international league tables on global overall institution and subject rankings.
In its most recent publication for 2017, the top Universities for the subject of Dentistry in Europe are the following:
- Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA) | Amsterdam, the Netherlands
- KU Leuven | Leuven, Belgium
- University of Birmingham| Birmingham, United Kingdom
- King’s College London | London, United Kingdom
- University of Bern | Bern, Switzerland
- University of Zürich | Zürich, Switzerland
It is important to underline that indeed the KU Leuven and King’s College London (KCL) University are amongst the top 10 Dental Schools in the World (based on the QS World University Rankings by Subject, 2015), while the University College London (UCL) and the University of Copenhagen are amongst the top 20.
Amongst others, Universities which offer excellent Dentistry programmes are Queen Mary University of London (UK), University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Charles University (Czech Republic) and European University (Cyprus).
Whichever destination and University you choose to study dentistry, the truth is that Dental Schools in Europe are considered the oldest and most prestigious worldwide.
